• Ideal for people who are not currently a member of Unify or for members with little in their savings
  
  
• The Family Loan is an affordable way to borrow even if you don’t have a perfect credit score.
  
  
• The Family Loan is available to families or individuals that are in receipt of Child Benefit. The person who receives the loan must live or work within our ‘common bond’, which is generally Wigan, Leigh, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Warrington and Leyland. • A condition of receiving the Family Loan is to arrange to have your Child Benefit paid into your Unify Credit Union Account.
  
  
• You will be expected to save a minimum of £2.50 per week and meet your regular loan repayments.
  
  
• You can also open accounts for your children to build savings for their future!
  

We will need to undertake appropriate identity checks and affordability check to ensure that the loan you are applying for is affordable for you and your household.

Your must live or work within our common bond in order to apply for a Family Loan.

If you take out a Family Loan and keep up with the repayments, this will help to improve your Credit File!

IMPORTANT - if you are in a debt management plan, subject of a Debt Relief Order,  IVA or bankruptcy or not currently up to date with household bills we are unlikely to be able to provide you with a loan.
