Financial Services Compensation Scheme - important information about compensation arrangements.

We are covered by the FSCS. The FSCS may pay compensation to depositors if a credit union is unable to meet its financial obligations. Most depositors — including most individuals and small businesses — are covered by the Scheme.

From 01 December 2025 in respect of deposits held with us, an eligible depositor is entitled to claim up to £120,000. For joint accounts, each account holder is treated separately; so for a joint account held by two eligible depositors, each may be entitled to up to £120,000 (making a total of £240,000 for the account).

The protection limit applies to the combined amount across all eligible accounts held by the same depositor with this credit union (including their share of any joint account), rather than per individual account.

In certain circumstances — for example, following a major life event that leads to a temporary high balance (such as a property sale, inheritance or insurance payout) — deposits may be covered up to £1.4 million for a limited period (normally up to six months).

Not all deposits are eligible for compensation under FSCS.
